Flow
  • Teams begin together with hands on the fence
  • At the call of “3, 2, 1, Go!,” each team member will run to their position of choice in preparation for performing reps
  • In order for Athlete A to perform reps, Athlete B must perform a handstand hold while the Athlete C performs a hang from the pull-up bar
  • Using the 'hang-and-hold' rules above, teams will collect reps of movements as prescribed by their division
  • When all reps of Event 1 have been completed, the trio will run and touch the fence where time will be noted as your team's score for the first event
  • Event 2 starts immediately following event 1 with all rules noted above applying
  • When all reps of Event 2 have been completed, the team will run and touch the fence where time will be noted as your team's score for the second event

Details
  • Each event is scored separately and shares a running 14 minute clock
  • Reps will only count if teammates are in the appropriate bar hang and handstand hold positions
  • Athletes will be required to use the provided "Drag Rope" by RXSG for all prescribed jump rope reps
  • 3 sizes (small, medium, large) of each "Drag Rope" will be provided for use in your lane
  • There is no minimum work requirement for any particular movement or amount of reps that an individual athlete needs to perform
  • Teammates may cycle through the tasks of collecting reps, bar hanging, and handstand holding as much or as little as they choose
  • Beginner division teams only require one athlete to be in their choice of a hang or hold while reps are collected while the third athlete rests at the start mat
  • During the final movement of Event 2, no hanging or holding by teammates is required

Scoring
  • Each event is scored separately and equally across the entire day of Reindeer Games
  • Teams that complete all prescribed work for an event will be scored by time
  • Teams that are unable to complete the work inside the time cap will be scored by number of reps completed
  • Example: 295 reps completed is expressed as "CAP + 295"
  • "CAP + 295" is a better score than "CAP +225"
  • Bar Hang: The movement requires both hands of the athlete on the pull-up bar with the entire body off the ground in a hanging position. If the body contacts the ground, uprights of the pull-up rig, or any other objects, the movement is suspended and teammates cannot collect reps until the bar hang is reestablished. Teammates may assist one another into position on the pull-up bar if needed.
  • Handstand Hold: The movement is identical to the starting position of the handstand push-up with arms extended and heels on the wall. Legs may shift about and arms may bend during the movement so long as the body, including the head, does not contact the ground.
  • Double Under: This is the standard double-under in which the rope passes under the feet twice for each jump. The rope must spin forward for the rep to count. Only successful jumps are counted, not attempts. All reps must be completed by the provided "Drag Rope" by RXSG in your lane.
  • Single Under: The rope passes under the athlete’s feet once per jump and must also spin forward for the rep to count. Only successful jumps are counted, not attempts. All reps must be completed by the provided "Drag Rope" by RXSG in your lane.
  • Dead Lift: This is a traditional dead lift with the hands outside the knees. Sumo dead lifts are not allowed. Starting on the ground, the barbells is lifted until hips and knees reach full extension with shoulders behind the bar. The arms must be straight throughout. Deliberate bouncing of the barbell is not allowed. Dropping the barbell after completion of the rep is permitted.
  • Shoulder-to-Overhead: Each rep begins with the barbell on the shoulders in the front rack. The rep finishes with the weight fully locked out overhead centered over the middle of the body. A shoulder press, push press, push jerk or split jerk may be used, as long as the elbow, shoulder, hips and knees are fully extended, and the bar finishes directly over the body with the feet in line. The bar will begin on the ground and there will be no racks. Back racked shoulder-to-overhead is not allowed.
  • Handstand Pushup (Adv: Strict): The movement begins at the top of a handstand with the arms fully locked out and heels on the wall. At the bottom of each rep, the head touches the ground. At the top of each rep, the arms return to their start position with elbows, hips, and knees at full extension with heels on the wall. Advanced athletes will perform this movement strict, adhering to the movement standards without the use of the lower body. Kipping is allowed for INT, AGE, and BEG divisions as long as the other requirements are met.

Flow
  • Teams begin with each teammate in front of their object of choice (barbell; brute ball sandbag; athlete bag)
  • At the call of “3, 2, 1, Go!,” each teammate will pickup their object of choice (barbell; brute ball sandbag; athlete bag)
  • Athletes will then perform synchro squats
  • When all synchro squats have been performed, the entire team will perform burpees over their object of choice
  • When all synchro squats are complete, the team performs 20 more squats, and 20 more burpees
  • The team finishes the event with 10 more squats and 10 more burpees
  • Time is called when all reps are complete and the entire team is on the designated finish mat

Details
  • The entire event calls for all 3 teammates to work together
  • During synchro squats, teammates may go unbroken with their object of choice or switch with teammates at anytime
  • Please see the "Movement Standards" tab for specifics on the synchro squat and team burpees

Scoring
  • Teams that complete all prescribed work for the event will be scored by time
  • Teams that are unable to complete the work inside the time cap will be scored by number of reps completed
  • Example: 51 reps completed is expressed as "CAP + 51"
  • "CAP + 51" is a better score than "CAP + 44"
  • Synchronized Squats: All three teammates must start with their object in the appropriate position (see below) standing tall with hips and knees fully extended. At the bottom, all three teammates are 'below parallel' together with each athlete's hip crease below the top of their own knee. The rep counts when all three teammates have returned to their starting position, standing tall with hips and knees fully extended with their weighted object in the appropriate position.
    • Barbell Front Squat: The movement begins with the barbell on the shoulders in the front rack position with elbows in front of the bar while standing tall. A squat clean is not permitted as all three teammates must begin standing tall with their weighted object.
    • Sandbag Squat: The movement begins with the round sandbag on the frontal plane of the body, hugging the bag to the chest while standing tall.
    • Athlete Bag Overhead Squat: The movement begins with the rectangular shaped sandbag overhead while standing tall. During the movement, the arms may bend and the bag may move and/or contact your head. As long as the arms stay overhead with the athlete bag and the bag isn't positioned to gain advantage / resting on the head or body during the movement, the repetition will be counted.
  • Team Burpees: The entire team will perform burpees together perpendicular to and facing their object. The team must hold the bottom position together with their chests and thighs touching the ground. They must then jump over their object with a two-foot takeoff and finish with a two-foot landing. One-footed jumping, landing or stepping over is not permitted. The repetition counts when all athletes have successfully jumped to the far side of their object.

  • Synchronized Bar Muscle-Up: Two Athletes must begin with, or pass through, a hang below the bar with arms fully extended and the feet off the ground. Kipping the muscle-up is acceptable, but pullovers, rolls to support or glide kips are not permitted. The heels may not rise above the height of the bar during the kip. At the top, the elbows must be fully locked out while the athletes support themselves above the bar with the shoulders over or in front of the bar. Athletes must pass through some portion of a dip to lockout over the bar. Both athletes must hold the top position at the same time for the rep to count. Athletes may help each other to the pull-up bar.

Scoring
  • The final is scored separately and equally across the entire day of Reindeer Games
  • Handstand Walk: The athlete begins by kicking up into an inverted position and may begin walking with only their hands toward the designated end line. The handstand walk must be performed in 21' unbroken sections, from one mat to another.
  • Athlete Bag Lunge (Males): The movement will be performed with a Bruteforce Sandbags Athlete Bag weighted to 50 pounds. The movement begins with the rectangular shaped sandbag overhead while standing tall. During the movement, the arms may bend and the bag may move and/or contact your head. As long as the arms stay overhead with the athlete bag and the bag isn't positioned to gain advantage / resting on the head or body during the movement, the repetition will be counted. On each lunge, the trailing knee must make contact with the ground at the bottom. At the top of each step, the athlete must stand with the hips and knees fully extended. If the knee does not touch the ground, or if the next step is initiated before fully standing up, the barbell will need to be brought backward to where the previous rep began. Athletes finish their 21ft section when both feet are on the mat while standing tall with hips, knees, and arms fully extended with bag overhead.
  • Athlete Bag Lunge (Females): The movement will be performed with a Bruteforce Sandbags Athlete Bag weighted to 50 pounds. The movement begins with the rectangular shaped sandbag off the ground while standing tall. Any type of lunge that ensures the Athlete Bag does not touch the ground during a repetition is acceptable (back rack, front rack, over-the-shoulder, overhead, etc.). Athletes finish their 21ft section when both feet are on the mat while standing tall with hips, and knees fully extended with bag not contacting the ground.
  • Thruster: This is a standard barbell thruster in which the barbell moves from the bottom of a squat with the barbell in the front rack position to full lockout overhead. The hip crease must pass below the top of the knee during the squat. A squat clean into the thruster is allowed if the bar is on the ground. At the top, the barbell must be over the center of the body with the hips, knees and arms fully extended.
